Reconciliation Regina has partnered with the Regina Public Library to host the Decolonize YQR, a speaker workshop series will take participants through a journey of self-reflection and will explore the history and impacts of colonization and ways we can decolonize our hearts, minds, and community.
Join us on June 13th at 7pm as we have a conversation with Andrian Makhnachov, new Canadian and social media content creator and influencer as he shares experience at his first powwow and what its like to be a new Canadian.
The programming will be offered remotely through Zoom.

Biography:
Andrian Makhnachov, is a Ukranian- Canadian who recently immigrated to Regina, Saskatchewan. Fleeing the war, Andrian found home in Regina in May 2022.
At first Andrian found himself alone and depressed about having to leave his whole world behind, including his father. His brother suggested he start experiencing what the new world had to offer and to use his social media platforms to share his journey. In a matter of months Andrian’s social media posts were going viral. He is best known for his TikTok posts, where he reviews all of his new experiences, whether he’s celebrating Canadian culture, sports games, or staple foods. His humor, sincerity, and curiosity are what captured the hearts of Canadians across the nation. His video trying a Nanaimo bar has 1.2 million views alone.
He amassed more than 319,400 followers and 8.3 million likes on the platform. His more recent adventures include going to Agribition, experimenting with waterproof Canadian money, and attending his first powwow.
TikTok named Makhnachov one of its Breakthrough Stars in Canada for 2022.
